TEST WEIGHT LIFTING SYSTEM (TWLS)
DESCRIPTION
Routine maintenance of conveyor belt scales require “standardization” to a known calibration. This is generally referred to as “calibration checking”. Normally this requires the addition (& removal thereafter) of “Calibration/Test Weights” to the scale weigh frame.
The scale calibration is checked with the Test Weight(s) applied and the conveyor running. The positioning of these calibration weights onto/off from the weigh frame requires the stopping of the conveyor. This can be time consuming – especially when sequenced start conveyors need to be by-passed etc.
The Test Weight Lifting System (TWLS) allows the placing/removal of the calibration weights, without having to stop the conveyor. The TWLS may be operated either manually or electronically. What’s more, the TWLS may be easily retro-fitted with little down-time, to most existing weighing/scale applications.
