DESCRIPTION
THROUGHPUT BATCHERS / HOPPER SCALES ARE USED IN VARIOUS PROCESSES WHERE THE FLOW RATES ARE LOW BUT THE ACCURACY OF TOTALIZED MATERIAL IS OF PARAMOUNT IMPORTANCE.
Material is fed into, or out of, the weigh flask/hopper on a batched basis. Each batch is weighed and totaled before being discharged. Very high accuracies are possible using this system.
Due to the batching nature of the operation, high cycle rates (throughputs) should be avoided to minimise the maintenance required.
