DESCRIPTION
THE GLADIATOR MICROWAVE LEVEL SWITCH PROVIDES POINT LEVEL INDICATION FOR PRESENCE OR ABSENCE OF MOST SOLID AND LIQUID MATERIALS. IT MAY BE USED IN CHUTE LEVEL APPLICATION WHERE MICROWAVE ENERGY IS ABSORBED BY THE MATERIAL BEING MONITORED.
Operation:
A beam of microwaves passes from the transmitter to a separate receiver. If the path between the transmitter and receiver is interrupted by any object or material which absorbs or reflects microwave energy, the receiver will notice the reduced microwave signal. The presence or absence of the microwave signal at the receiver is used to switch a relay for indication or control purposes.
